Logo Engraving on Bamboo: Laser vs UV Print vs Debossing

Bamboo takes a logo better than almost any other promotional material, but the method changes the look. This is what each option gives you on a wireless charger or power bank, and what to send us to get it right first time.

Laser engraving

A CO2 laser burns the logo into the sealed bamboo surface, producing a darker tone-on-tone mark with visible grain. It never wears off, costs nothing extra on production orders, and suits wordmarks and simple symbols. Fine detail below 0.3 mm fills in, and gradients are not possible. Colour cannot be added.

UV colour printing

A flatbed UV printer lays cured ink directly on the bamboo. Full colour, photographic detail and white ink are possible, which matters for light logos on dark carbonised bamboo. It adds a small per-unit cost, and the print sits on the surface, so it can scratch on high-wear areas such as the charging pad itself. Best for multi-colour logos on the base or front face.

Debossing and hot stamping

A heated die presses the logo into the bamboo, optionally with a foil. It gives a premium, tactile finish for executive gifts and is the usual choice for packaging and cork. It needs a die (a one-off tooling cost) and suits bold logos only.

Backlit glow logo

On selected chargers, the logo is cut into a thin bamboo veneer over an LED layer, so it lights up while the phone charges. It is the most visible option on a desk and the one buyers reorder most for corporate gifting. It adds a per-unit cost and requires a logo that works as a silhouette. See the glow-logo models in the bamboo wireless charger range.

File requirements

  • Vector file (AI, EPS, PDF or SVG). JPEG and PNG need redrawing and add a day.
  • Pantone references for UV printing.
  • Minimum line weight 0.3 mm for laser, 0.2 mm for UV.
  • Tell us the placement (top, front face, base) and whether the logo should be centred on the charging area.

Our process

Every order gets a digital proof within 24 hours and a physical engraved sample before production. Laser engraving is included; UV, deboss and glow logos are quoted per model on the OEM / ODM page.
